Pork chops with mushroom cream sauce recipe

Ingredients Needed

  • 4 boneless pork chops
  • Salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
  • 225 g baby bella mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 120 ml double cream
  • 50 g freshly grated Parmesan
  • 1 tsp. dried oregano
  • Pinch crushed chilli flakes
  • 675 g packed baby spinach

Instructions

  1. Season pork chops on both sides with salt and pepper. In a large pan over medium heat, heat oil. Add pork chops and cook until golden and cooked through.
  2. Remove pork chops from pan and place on a plate to keep warm.
  3. Add mushrooms to pan and cook until softened, 5 minutes.
  4. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, 1 minute.
  5. Add double cream, Parmesan, oregano, and a pinch of chilli flakes. Season with salt and pepper. Bring sauce to a simmer and cook until thickened, about 3 minutes.
  6. Add spinach and cook until wilted, 2 minutes more.
  7. Return pork chops to pan and cook until warmed through, 5 minutes.
